About
Amnesia Vivace is for the vintage-obsessed, the captivating eccentrics, and the daydreamers. For the anti-conformists who worship forgotten B-movies, find beauty and interest in the unusual.
Amnesia Vivace was created in 2024 but has been brewing in my mind since my early days in fashion school. My designs stem from my teenage years when I collected anything vintage, gathering anything I could about fashion and music from the 60s and 70s. All these years of archiving became my personal treasure trove.
Amnesia Vivace's designs are inspired by the surreal occult of Kenneth Anger’s films, John Waters’ campy chaos, punk flyers from the 80s to the decadent allure of Biba’s art deco glamour. Obscure album covers dug out of bargain bins, zines, forgotten girl bands of the '60s, 80s glam metal and new wave, Vivienne Westwood, teen movies, and Sofia Coppola’s dreamy melancholy, all collaged together in this visual chaos. (The list is endless.)
The T-shirt serves as my storytelling platform because it perfectly unites my passion for fashion with graphic design. It also serves as mood wear, a way for people to express their daily emotions while starting conversations with others about shared interests, like "I love this band too!"
They’re effortlessly cool, the baby tee especially. Slightly snug, sitting just above the navel, simple and comfortable but it carries so much style. True to the punk spirit that I cherish, these garments are made to be altered, cut up, slashed, bleached, reimagined, each change only making them more your own.
The brand Amnesia Vivace starts with graphic tees, but I aim to develop it into a full-fledged fashion brand which will tell stories through vintage-inspired fashion combined with playful fabrics and whimsical colours.
